Search finds plans by their text, so you can answer "when did I teach photosynthesis?" without scrolling through months.
Where to search from
The year calendar — the search box is on the page. Click Calendar in the navigation bar.
The weekly view — click the wrench icon under the week title. Search sits alongside the other display options.
Two things worth knowing
Search terms must be at least five characters. Shorter than that and you'll be told to lengthen it — so "lab" and "math" won't run, while "labor" and "fractions" will. It's a deliberate limit: very short searches match nearly every plan you have, which is no more useful than no search at all.
Search covers the planbook you're currently in, not all of them. To search last year's plans, switch to that planbook first — from the Planbooks list, or the switcher on the year calendar — then search again.
Using the results
Matches are listed ten at a time, with paging for more. For each one you can:
- Jump to the week it's in, or
- Edit it right there, without leaving the results
That second option is the useful one when you're fixing something you've repeated — a date that changed, a room that moved — across several weeks.
If you don't find what you expect
- Check you're in the right planbook.
- Try a longer or more distinctive word. Search matches the words you type, so a phrase you half-remember may not match what you actually wrote.
- Remember notes aren't plans — they aren't searched here.
