Setting a rotation tells PlanbookEdu about your cycle, but it doesn't display the cycle day anywhere. If you want to see "Day A" or "Day 1" at the top of each column, you label them yourself using the first period.
How to do it
- Open the first period of the first day in your cycle.
- Type the label — "Day A", "Day 1", or whatever your school calls it.
- Set it to repeat to match your rotation.
- Save.
- Repeat for each remaining day in the cycle.
An A/B schedule takes two entries; a six-day cycle takes six. You only do this once — the repeat setting carries the labels through the rest of the year.
Why the labels stay correct
Because the repeat follows the rotation rather than the calendar, the labels survive disruption. If a snow day or holiday shifts everything by a day, the cycle continues from where it left off and the labels move with it. The same is true when you bump plans.
That's the advantage over typing the labels in as one-time entries — those would be wrong the first time the calendar slipped.
Using a whole period as a label row costs you a planning row. If you'd rather not give one up, add a period specifically for it under Add, edit, and delete periods, then reorder it to the top.
