Embedding puts your plans directly on your class page, so students and parents see what's happening without following a link or asking you.
1. Share the planbook with Open access
Embedding builds on a share, so create one first — see Share your planbook.
Access must be set to Open. An embedded planbook can't ask visitors who they are, so a Restricted share won't display. See Control who can see a shared planbook.
Set Expires to Never as well. An embed that expires mid-year leaves a broken panel on your site with no warning.
2. Configure the embed
Once the share is saved, an Embed option appears under Actions.
You can set:
- Size — one of the default sizes, or your own dimensions to fit your page's column
- Default view — the current week, or the monthly calendar
3. Generate and paste
Click Generate for the code and a preview. Don't like it? Change the settings and generate again.
When it looks right, copy the code and paste it into the HTML of your page. Most site editors have an "embed" or "HTML" block for this; pasting into a normal text box will show the code rather than run it.
Keeping some plans off the page
The embed shows what the share shows. To keep particular lessons off a public page, hide those plans — they appear as empty boxes. To hide a period all year, tick hide and set the plan to repeat.
Your notes never appear.
It stays current
The embed is live, not a copy. Edit a plan and the page shows the change — no regenerating, no re-pasting.
The flip side: it's genuinely public. Anything visible in the embed is visible to anyone who finds the page.
