You can export a complete planbook — every week of the year — as a single file. It's the thing to do at the end of a year if you want a copy outside PlanbookEdu.
- Click Planbooks in the navigation bar.
- Click More under Actions for the planbook.
- Choose Export.
It takes a few minutes
A whole planbook is a large file, so it isn't generated on the spot. The export runs in the background and we email you when it's ready — you don't need to keep the page open.
If you need something immediately, export a day or a week instead; those are generated straight away.
When to use it
- End of year, for your own records
- Leaving a school, where your plans should go with you
- A district asking for the year's plans as a single document
For anything smaller — a week for an administrator, a day for a substitute — the day and week exports are quicker and easier to read.
Your plans stay put either way
Exporting doesn't remove anything. Your planbook stays exactly as it is, and you can keep working in it.
Nor is an export a necessary backup. Plans stay in your account indefinitely — see What happens to my plans if I stop paying. Export because you want a copy elsewhere, not out of worry about losing them.
Where to keep it
Upload the file to Dropbox, Google Drive or your school drive — see Save plans to Dropbox, Google Drive, or a school drive.
