Bumping usually goes forward, because days usually get lost. Occasionally the opposite happens — a cancelled event gives you a period back, or you bumped when you didn't need to. You can move plans backward too.
A whole day
- Click the cog icon next to the day's name in the weekly view.
- Choose Clear.
- Tick Bump plans back.
That day is cleared and all future plans move back one day to close the gap. See Clear a day for clearing without moving anything.
A single period
Drag the plan back exactly one day using its handle. You'll be offered the option to bump the future plans for that period back as well.
Two things to know:
- The option only appears when you drag back one day. Drag further and you get a plain move instead.
- Whatever was in the day you drop onto is replaced by the plan you dragged.
Undoing a forward bump
If you've just bumped forward by mistake, the Undo link at the top of the page is the cleaner fix — it reverses the exact action rather than approximating it with a backward bump. See Undo a change.
Backward bumping is for when you genuinely want the schedule pulled in, not for correcting a slip you made a moment ago.
