There's no handle for dragging a lesson box bigger. Boxes size themselves:
- Height grows to fit what's in it. A long plan makes a tall box.
- Width follows the window. A wider browser window gives wider boxes.
So the first thing to try is simply widening your browser window, or reducing the font size so more fits in the same space.
The setting that really changes it
If boxes feel cramped, orientation usually matters more than anything else.
Days across the top gives each period a row spanning the week — good when you have several periods a day and write a few lines for each.
Days down the side gives each day much more vertical room — better for elementary teachers writing long plans for a handful of blocks.
Switching is one dropdown and changes nothing but the layout, so it's worth trying both: see Change your planbook's orientation.
Short periods making the grid awkward
If you have "Lunch" or "Recess" periods, days-across-the-top usually reads better. Short entries occupy a narrow row instead of an entire column that's mostly white space.
When you're really out of room
Boxes stretch, but a plan long enough to dominate the week is hard to read in a grid. Two better options:
- Put the detail in an attached file and keep the box to a summary.
- Use the daily view for writing and reading long plans — it gives one day the whole screen.
